Delete your Candles account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Candles account and associated personal data. Candle Holdings Inc. operates Candles. The existing Google Play app uses the legacy package identifier com.dextoro.pro so current Android users continue to receive updates.

Delete your account in the app

  1. 1Withdraw any remaining assets and allow pending transactions or purchases to finish.
  2. 2Open Candles and go to Settings.
  3. 3Open Legal & Privacy and select Delete account.
  4. 4Review the deletion notice, then confirm Delete account.
Account deletion is permanent. Candles may temporarily block deletion while a meaningful wallet balance or pending transaction remains so you can protect your assets and finish any in-progress activity first.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, email us from the address associated with your Candles account. Include your Candles username if you know it. We may ask for information needed to verify that you own the account before processing the request.

Data deleted or anonymized

  • Your Candles authentication account and sign-in identity, including the email address attached to the account.
  • Candles profile information we control, including your username, profile image, and app preferences.
  • App access credentials and account-to-wallet verification links that are not required for legal, security, or transaction records.

Data that may be retained

  • Public blockchain records, including wallet addresses and completed transactions, are permanent and cannot be deleted by Candles.
  • The self-custodial wallet and records maintained by wallet infrastructure providers may remain after Candles app access is revoked.
  • Limited transaction, payment, fraud-prevention, security, accounting, dispute, or compliance records may be retained when needed for an active matter or required by applicable law.

Candles does not apply one fixed additional retention period to every retained record. Retention depends on the record and the applicable legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purpose. When that purpose ends, we delete or anonymize the record where reasonably possible. Public blockchain data remains permanently available on the applicable network.
